No longer a hydro-electric power station, the Centrale di Fies is now the pulsating heart of one of the most original festivals of the Trentino summer, a real factory of art that over the years has become a place of important productions experimenting contents and languages.

The festival does not follow fashions or trends, it creates them. It has been working for twenty-nine years with important groups in the Italian and foreign show world that stage performances in the five theatrical rooms of this fascinating substantial building, which reminds one of a fort, and in the park set in the natural biotope of the Marocche full of Mediterranean flora.

drodesera Fies – Environments for the Creation of Performing Arts is today one of the motivating centres of Italian theatre, a place for elaborating and creating theatrical culture and producing permanent, production and experimental projects. An identity that has been constantly renewed and this year will once again offer an

innovative and unconventional view of the vast world of contemporary art.
