      This year the oldest film festival of mountains offers a wide selection of films auteur documentaries, journalistic reports and fiction films always set in mountain, exotic or extreme environments. The film programme of the 57th TrentoFilmFestival will begin on 25 April with Eric Von Stroheim’s classic silent film ‘The Blind Husbands’ the icon of the Bergfilm. Before this, however, you can leaf through the books on display in MontagnaLibri, the prestigious world showcase of mountain publications, opening on 21 April.The Festival, this year again under the direction of Maurizio Nichetti, offers a rich calendar of events, meetings with prominent mountaineers, exhibitions and shows. |

The foundation highlights the history of the city of Trento, Trentino and the regional area of the historic Tyrol. Its work also involves the centre of documentation on the history of emigration and the Piedicastello Tunnels now turned into an exhibition area of memory.
